I recently upgraded my trusty old focus for a 2010 Mondeo mk4 estate titanium 163 with the powershift box. The pump would make a whining noise also. The rear engine / gearbox mounting bracket is held onto the gearbox and sub frame by two 15mm bolts, one of the bolts is a few mm longer than the other one and if they are fitted the wrong once you know you can undo this,have a tube long enough to fit in the. fill hole,then with oil tray ready at the back of the gearbox undo the bottom. drain plug,replace drain plug. Just fill till it overflows out, my mtx75 .5 speed took 2 litres of 75w-90 gearbox oil. Mondeo 2.5 V6 2002. I have Ford Mondeo MK4 2008 2.0TDCI with automatic gearbox. My problem looks like this, when I drive in D and I come to complete stop just before I stop I hear and feel a slam, like a transmission kicks down but it is a slam rather than a shift down. Same problem occurs when I drive in S. Transmission doesnt jerk when shifting up or down when I The resovior is shared with the brake master cylinder, as the brake pads wear and the fluid level goes down the pick up point for the clutch is higher than the brakes so you loose the clutch before you loose the brakes. so if you are very very lucky all you need to do is top up the brake master cylinder with brake fluid.
