I can't seem to find a reason for this lag. My system should be fine; according to system requirements lab, my system greatly passes the recommended requirements for HL2 and Episode 1, and passes the minimum requirements for Episode 2. I'm even lagging on older games, like HL1, Quake 2, UT2k4 etc.
